"Found in Darkness: Explorations in Personal Mythologies"

“Found in Darkness”,

November 2012 @ Book And Job Gallery SF

A two man show featuring work by John Felix Arnold III & Christopher Burch, hosted by San Francisco's Book & Job Gallery. These two emerging Bay Area artists explore the evolution of personal mythologies where elements of heroism arise from excruciatingly dark circumstances and in turn analyze the construction of human perceptions of our contemporary reality. Their respective bodies of narrative artwork, for Arnold it is the “post reset” mythology of his world of Unstoppable Tomorrow, for Burch it is the modern day reclaiming of the Br'er Rabbit folklore, will be presented through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and sound.
